Goldie May Hefling's Obituary
Goldie May Hefling, 76, died Jan. 5, 2008, at Hospice House.
She was born May 25, 1931, in Lebanon, Mo., the daughter of Ernie James and Velma May Richards Lawson. She graduated in 1950 from Hutchinson High School. A resident of Hutchinson, she was a homemaker, and had taught swimming for the Red Cross for 40 years.
On Oct. 26, 1974, she married Veldon Hefling in Maize. He survives.
Other survivors include: two sisters, Pat A. Baytosh, Hutchinson, and Eva Curtiss, Colorado Springs, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Luanne Haddaway presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at the mortuary.
Memorials may be sent to the Red Cross Swimming Program, in care of the mortuary.
