Grace I. Ford's Obituary
Grace I. Ford, 86, died Feb. 9, 2009, at Prospect Park Living Center, Estes Park, Colo.
She was born Aug. 2, 1922, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Virgil C. and Annie Goertzen Looney.
She attended public schools in Hutchinson. A longtime Hutchinson resident, moving to Colorado in Nov. of 1999, she was a homemaker and prior to her marriage, she worked at the former Richards-Scheble Candy Co.
She belonged to First Church of the Nazarene.
On July 4, 1942, she married Harold I. Ford in Hutchinson. He died Feb. 9, 1990.
Survivors include: daughters, Karen Walker and husband, Dave, Loveland, Colo., and Rita Bruce, and husband, David, Estes Park, Colo.; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tana Estes; grandson, Shaun Elledge; brother, Clifford Looney; and sister, Lorene Wilbeck.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Bones Nay presiding. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Reno County or Alzheimer's Association, in care of the mortuary.
