Grace M. Hockett, 88, of Hutchinson, died March 7, 2024. She was born October 7, 1935, in Fort Scott, KS, to Stanley and Laura (Perkins) Miller.

Grace attended Fulton High School. A graduate of Fort Scott Community College, she worked at Mercy Hospital as an R.N. on the 5th floor, later as a nursing home administrator at Marmaton Valley Nursing Home, Uniontown, KS. Grace was an artist at heart.

On June 4, 1951, she married Richard Scott Hockett. They shared over 59 years of marriage before his passing on March 6, 2011.

Grace is survived by: son, Victor (Denise) Hockett, Hutchinson; daughters, Sandra Marn and Joy Dice, Nevada, MO; and grandchildren, Nicholas and William.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, and one sister.

Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Fairlawn Burial Park, with Pastor Steve Hodgson officiating. Family will greet friends at Elliott Mortuary from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday.
