Grace Charlotte Zimon's Obituary
Grace Charlotte Zimon, 93, of Wesley Towers, passed away July 25, 2010.
Grace was born near Greensburg, Kan., Jan. 31, 1917, to Henry H. and Sena Loesch Hildebrand.
The family moved to Fowler in 1925, where she attended school and graduated in 1934.
She attended Ft. Hays State College, received her teaching certificate and first taught at Sunny Dale School in Meade County.
She received her BS in Education from Ft. Hays while teaching in various schools. Following World War II she taught military children for the Department of Defense in Japan, France and Germany.
She was married to Henry E. Zimon in 1954, and taught in the Maryland public schools for 25 years.
Cremation has taken place. She is survived by: three sisters, Ruth Schmidt, Hutchinson, Chris Michener, Mich., and Amy Kummerow, Ill.
Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 30, 2010, at Fowler United Methodist Church.
Memorials may be made to Wesley Towers Good Samaritan Fund, or Fowler United Methodist Church, both in care of Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
