Gracia L. Lee, 75, died May 12, 2008, at her home, Hutchinson.

She was born March 26, 1933, in Wichita, Ks., the daughter of William Gerald and Grace Showalter Harris. She graduated in 1951, from Rose Hill High School and attended the University of Kansas. A resident of Hutchinson since 1967, having also lived in Rose Hill, she was a homemaker.

She belonged to the Mitchell United Methodist Chapel, Extension Homemakers Unit, Order of Eastern Star Silver Leaf Chapter No. 464, Beta Sigma Phi-Chapter Preceptor Beta Upsilon, all of Hutchinson, and the Daughters of the Nile, Zohar Temple No. 65, Wichita.

On Aug. 28, 1953, she married Robert E. Lee in Rose Hill. He survives.

Other survivors include: a daughter, Rosemary Ellen Lee of Hutchinson; three sons, Nathan Henry Lee, and Matthew Bryant Lee, both of Wichita, and Vernon Gerald Lee of Woodbury, Minn.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Anita Evelyn Lee, three brothers, Mansfield, John Andrew, and Stanley Grant Harris, and a sister, Marcia Friend.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Mitchell United Methodist Chapel, with Pastor Nancy Proffitt presiding. Commital rites conducted by Order of the Eastern Star Silver Leaf Chapter No. 464. Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Rose Hill Cemetery, Rose Hill, Kansas, with graveside rites conducted by the Daughters of the Nile, Zohar Temple No. 65. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.

Memorials may be sent to the Anita E. Lee Memorial Scholarship at Emporia State University, Hospice Care of Kansas, or the church, all in care of the mortuary.
