Gregorio Sergio "Greg" Mesa, 62, died March 28, 2022, at Hospice House.  He was born April 9, 1959, in Hutchinson, to Luis and Socorro (Valenzuela) Mesa.

Greg was a longtime Hutchinson resident.  He loved music, especially rock and roll and jazz.  Greg played the guitar in a number of bands, and passed his love for music and playing the guitar onto his grandson, Ethan.  Along with teaching Ethan to play the guitar, Greg enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends, and attending Kansas City Chiefs football games.

Greg is survived by:  son, Gregory Mesa; daughter, Nicole Mesa (Jimmy Gilbert), all of Hutchinson; the mother of his children, Trudy Mesa; long-time girlfriend, Christina Stricker; grandchildren, Ethan Gilbert, Jaydie Mesa, and Easton Mesa; three sisters, Maria Clark, Hope Mesa, and Margaret Lavenbarg; and his familia Nava Valenzuela of Mexico, and Rios and Garcia family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Louie Mesa; and granddaughter, Kali Gilbert.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.  Friends may sign his book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday at Elliott Mortuary.
