Guy H. Riggs, 79, died November 8, 2013, at Hospice House. He was born March 4, 1934, in Hutchinson, to Jacob Drake and Eunice Marie (Southerland) Riggs. Guy graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1953. He worked for Eaton Corporation as a machinist for 40 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Reno Masonic Lodge 124, Wichita Consistory, and Midian Temple. Guy took Tai Chi, Qi Gong, and played a lot of cribbage at Delos V. Smith Center.

On February 25, 1961, he married Betty Jean Hicks in Hutchinson. She survives.

Other survivors include: daughters, Kathy Pauls and husband David of Manhattan, Regina Davis of South Hutchinson, Diana Mullins and husband Eric of South Hutchinson; son, Derek Riggs and wife Susan of Gardner; 8 grandchildren, Aaron, Hannah, Ethan, Emily, Natalie, Nathan, Jacob, Madelyn; and brother, Carl Riggs and wife Mary Ann of Overland Park.

Guy was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 11, 2013, at Elliott Chapel with Pastor Kevin Guffey officiating. Private family burial will take place in Stafford Cemetery, Stafford, Ks. Friends may call 9-9 Sunday with family to receive friends from 6-8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital or to the Scottish Rite Child Language Center, in care of the mortuary, 1219 N Main, Hutchinson, Ks 67501.
