H. Lee Isenagle, 87, of Hutchinson, died June 30, 2009, at Hester Care Center, Wesley Towers.
He was born November 11, 1921, in Akron, Ks the son of Homer Clark and Stella Mae Weigle Isenagle.
He graduated in 1939, from Winfield High School, Winfield, Ks, and attended Bradley College, Peoria, Illinois. He moved to Hutchinson in 1950, from Winfield. Lee worked as a millwork salesman for Rock Island Millwork retiring in 1984. He was a World War II Army Air Force veteran serving from 1942 to 1945 as a staff sergeant, receiving the good conduct medal, an Air medal with three oak leaf clusters and the European Africa Middle Eastern service medal with a silver star. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
On Sept 8, 1946, he married Marie A. Baker in Arkansas City. She died February 7, 2006.
Survivors include: a son, Gary L. Isenagle and wife Roxanne of Hutchinson; a daughter, Marcia Axtell and husband Harvey of Sterling; three granddaughters, Leanna Hook, Maggie Axtell and April Kessler; and two great-grandsons, Wyatt and Cody Hook.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jesse Isenagle.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with Pastor Matt Stafford presiding. Military graveside honors will be conducted by McConnell Air Force Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday with family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association in care of the mortuary.
