Obituary

Hadley Gale Capps, 80, died July 9, 2009, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.

He was born Sept. 28, 1928, in Versailles, Mo., the son of Charlie Franklin and Rosa May McGowin Capps. A resident of Hutchinson since 1948, he was a retired contractor of Capps Construction. He was of the Lutheran Faith.

On Nov. 13, 1947, he married Rosalie A. "Rose" Helm in Versailles, Mo. His precious Rose and loving wife preceded him in death on Sept. 24, 2002.

He is survived by: two sons, Gene Capps and wife Carol, Hutchinson, Dale Capps and wife Marsha, Inman; two daughters, Mary Buechler and husband Randy of Lochbuie, Colo., Marge VanHoose, Hutchinson; five sisters, Frieda Campbell and niece Laney Campbell, Versailles, Mo., Rose Mary Lee and husband Bobbie, Sedalia, Mo., Shirley Huff and husband Ross, Barnett, Mo., Vera Lee Kronk and husband Bob, Hopkins, S.C., Melva Hibdon and husband Leroy, Oak View, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Gary and Gale Capps, brother, Robert Capps, and a sister Bonnie Pryor.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Curtis Coombs presiding. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Sunday with family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Chapel. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum.
