Hans von Finckenstein, 71, died December 2, 2020, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.  He was born May 25, 1949, in Detmold, Germany.  Hans immigrated with his family in 1962, and proudly became a citizen in 1987.

Hans served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and prior to his retirement, was the head custodian for Prairie Hills Middle School.

On April 9, 1977, he married his wife of 43 years, Susan Wright,

Hans is survived by:  wife, Susan; sons, Brandon, Timothy, and David,  all of Hutchinson; two granddaughters, who were his pride and joy, Lesly and Kyley; sisters, Marianne Dixon, Dagmar Dunn; mother-in-law, Mary Anne Wright; and Susan's siblings, Cynda, Tom, and Martin, and their spouses; and multiple nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his mother, Ingrid, and father-in-law, Donald Wright.

Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 11, 2020, at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.  Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 2020, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
