Harlen "Wayne" Aeschliman, 83, died July 1, 2016, at Mennonite Friendship Communities, South Hutchinson. He was born Oct. 30, 1932, in King City, Mo., to Paul and Esther Aeschliman.
Wayne was a self-employed painter. He served in the army and was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #982, Wichita Masonic Lodge #173, and the American Legion Lysle Rishel Post #68. Wayne loved to travel on his motorcycles. He also enjoyed bowling, painting, and dancing, especially to waltzes.
Survivors include: companion of 16 years, Lee Banks of Hutchinson; children, Paul Alan of Missouri, Douglas of Wichita, and Teresa Raines of Arizona; grandchildren, Jared and Tyler Aeschliman; and great-grandchildren, Alexis and Bryson Aeschliman. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no services held, per Wayne's request. Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson, is in charge of arrangements.
