Harold E. Ghormley's Obituary
PARTRIDGE - Harold E. Ghormley, 74, died Nov. 10, 2009, at Galachia Heart Hospital, Wichita.
He was born May 4, 1935, in Knoxville, Tenn., the son of Leo Otis and Annie Elizabeth Neubert Ghormley.
He was a 1953 graduate of Partridge High School, a 1955 graduate of Hutchinson Community College and a 1957 graduate of Kansas State University, Manhattan. He was a farmer in the Partridge community. He enjoyed athletic events at Hutchinson Community College and Kansas State University.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include: brother, David, Knoxville, Tenn.; and sisters, Barbara Appleby, Littleton, Colo., twin sisters Margaret Lee, Homewood, Ala., and Martha Singh, Calgary, Canada.
Funeral will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with the Rev. R. Samuel Askew presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at the mortuary. Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009 in the Partridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Partridge Library, in care of the mortuary.
