PLEVNA – Harold Dean Singleton, 75, passed away on Feb. 25, 2016, at home. He was born on Dec. 21, 1940, at Grace Hospital, Hutchinson, the son of H. Roscoe and Bernice M. (Holcomb) Singleton.
Harold lived and was a farmer all his life in the Plevna area. He graduated from Plevna High School in 1958, from Hutchinson Community College in 1960, and from Fort Hays State University in 1962, with a degree in Industrial Arts. On June 12, 1960, he married Janet B. Willems at Buhler, Kansas.
Harold is survived by: his wife, Janet of the home; three children, David Singleton and wife Sheryl of Wichita, Debbie Fillipi and husband Jon of Salina, and Judi Chenoweth and husband Greg of Topeka; two grandchildren, Kaitlin Gray and husband Thomas of Salina, and Andrew Fillipi and wife Anna of Salina; and three great- grandchildren, Landon Gray, Tommy Fillipi, and Brielle Fillipi. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2016, at Hutchinson First Church of the Nazarene, 4290 N. Monroe, with Pastors Kent Pedersen and Jon Fillipi presiding. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
