Harold E. Tissue, 70, died June 21, 2010, at his home in Hutchinson.
He was born Dec. 10, 1939, in Hutchinson to William R. and Edna-Mae Harris Tissue.
He was a longtime Hutchinson resident who had previously lived in Sterling and Partridge. He graduated from Sterling High School in 1957. He was a retired foreman with Gruver Construction Co. He served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict.
On Sept. 3, 1999, he married Linda S. Weeks in Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Bradley Hulse and wife Kavetta, Hutchinson; daughters, DeeAnn Stucky and husband Terry, Pretty Prairie, Mary Gossman and husband Kevan, Hutchinson, and Christine McClelland, Hutchinson; sisters, Dava Mae Walker, Wyoming, and Judith Dirks, Hutchinson; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father; mother, Edna-Mae Tissue Boock; stepfather, David Leroy Boock; a brother, William L. Tissue; step-granddaughter, Robin Deming; and a nephew, Thomas Howell Bryson.
Graveside service will be at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 24, 2010, in Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson, with Pastor Lester Zook, officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Chapel. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson, with military graveside honors conducted by the McConnell Air Force Base Honor Guard.
