BUHLER - Hazel Viola Christiansen, 91, died Nov. 22, 2011, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born Oct. 6, 1920, to W.F. and Jessie McCord Rather in Harper County, Okla.

Hazel moved to Hutchinson in 1963 to work at Parrott-Hodnett Goodyear Dealership. She was married to I.W. Parrott in 1973. He died in 1977. In March 1998, Hazel moved to Elm Grove Estates, where she met Robert Christiansen. They married in Aug. 1999, and later moved to the Buhler Sunshine Home. Robert died in April 2006. Hazel is survived by: daughter, Sharon Endicott of Minnesota; sons, Terry Myers of South Dakota and Lowell Myers of Nebraska; eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jean Conrad; and son, Lyle Myers.

Cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be sent to Sunshine Meadows Retirement Center or Hospice House, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main St., Hutchinson, KS 67501.
