Orlando, Fla. – Hazel L. Morris, 87, died March 7, 2016, at her home in Orlando, Fla. She was born Sept. 14, 1928, in Topeka, to Earl M. and Ella (Fulkerson) Wilson. Hazel graduated from Hayden High School.

She married Kenneth E. Morris on June 17, 1948, in Waterloo, New York. He died Jan. 30, 1993.

Hazel then married Bernard Morris on April 6, 1994, in Las Vegas, Nev.

Hazel is survived by: her husband, Bernard of the home; daughter, Jean Yanda and husband Joe of Ellis; stepson, Dennis Morris and wife Wanda of Winter Garden, Fla.; stepdaughters, BJ Weyer and husband Billy of Jacksonville, Fla., Pat Flood of Clermont, Fla., Denise Hammond and husband Michael of Orlando, Fla.; sister, Sue Hervey and husband Dan of McPherson; grandchildren, Dean (Emily) Yanda, Jessica (Jon) Smith, Amanda (Casey) Cross, Daniel (Courtney) Flood, Bernie Flood, Will Weyer, Michael Weyer, Brooke Morris, Lydia Hammond, Elliott Hammond; great-grandchildren, Ayden and Ella Yanda; and numerous nieces and nephews, including, Sheila and Brian Billings.

She was preceded in death by her parent; sister, Marjorie Walker; and infant son, Dean K. Morris

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2016, at Wildmead Cemetery, Nickerson, with Dan Hervey officiating. Family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Legion in McPherson (for the benefit of wounded warriors), in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
