H.E. Bofink's Obituary
H.E. "Pete" Bofink, 83, died Dec. 15, 2007, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born Nov. 24, 1924, in Jackson, Mich., the son of H.E. and Dorothy Zerman Bofink. He graduated in 1942, from Jackson High School, Jackson, Mich. A longtime resident of Hutchinson, he was the vice president of the printing plant for R.L. Polk Co., retiring after 47 years of service.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II, serving in the South Pacific.
On Aug. 17, 1946, he married Wanda M. Johnson in Concord, Mich. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, F. Craig and wife Cassandra, Hutchinson; a daughter, Marcia Menzer and husband Don, Goddard; two grandchildren, Amanda Saylor and husband Patrick, and F. Cal Bofink; and four great-grandchildren, Chaddwick and Rachelle Saylor, and Natalie and Jacob Bofink.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, F.C. and Phillip Bofink.
Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Matt Stafford presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Hutchinson Civitans Club, in care of the funeral home.
