Helen Litchfield Duff, 95, died August 12, 2017, at Mennonite Friendship Communities, South Hutchinson. She was born December 20, 1921, in Preston, to Cecil R. and Cora M. (McOsker) Reynolds. Helen graduated from Preston High School in 1939 and attended Salt City Business College. She worked in food service and healthcare in Kansas and Hawaii. Helen was a fabulous gardener and a nurturer to her family.
She married Lloyd T. Litchfield and he died October 5, 1961. She later married Doyl G. Duff on October 25, 1975, in Hutchinson. He died August 11, 2004.
Helen is survived by: son, Tom Litchfield; daughter, Helen M. Litchfield Howell and husband James, all of Hutchinson; son-in-law, Frank Sheehy of Greely, CO; sister, Sharon Story of Newton; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; brother, Calvin Reynolds; sisters, Munica Peters, Minerva Nelson, Betty Vratil, Lois Hoskinson; and daughter, Lucretia Sheehy.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Mennonite Friendship Communities, 600 W. Blanchard, South Hutchinson, with Pastor Lou Gomez officiating. Family inurnment will be 3 p.m. Sunday, August 27, 2017, at Neola Cemetery, Turon. Friends may sign her book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today until the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mennonite Friendship Communities, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501. `
