Helen Maxine Fenwick, 96, of Inman, died January 28, 2023, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born November 11, 1926, in Salina, to Rueben and Edna (Gerdes) Youngberg.

Helen graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1944 and attended Sterling College. She was a homemaker who loved to knit and read and was a great house cleaner. Helen was a member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church, Hutchinson.

On March 28, 1948, she married Earl A. Fenwick, in Hutchinson. They shared 68 years of marriage before his death on December 15, 2017.

Helen is survived by: her children, Ron Fenwick (Marsha) of Buhler, Roxann Rutherford (Ray) of Hutchinson; five grandsons; one granddaughter; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Sharon Parker (Glenn) of Oak Harbor, WA, Nadine Oliver of Hutchinson; and brother, Don Youngberg of Hutchinson.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; a brother, Earl Youngberg; and a sister, Lois Rozel.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023, at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd., Hutchinson.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with the family present to receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary.
