Obituary

Helen K. Loepp, 84, died July 2, 2007, at her home, Hutchinson.

She was born on July 21, 1922, in Inman, the daughter of John S. and Lissie Esau Schroeder. She was a resident if Hutchinson. She attended Buhler High School, graduating with the class of 1941 and Sid's Hairdressing College, Hutchinson. She was a homemaker and hairdresser, owning and operating Helen's Beauty Salon.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, and she was active in Double Circle Sunday school at the church and enjoyed playing pitch with several card groups in Hutchinson.

On May 11, 1943, she married Arnold "Arn" Loepp in Buhler. He died Sept. 20, 2002.

Survivors include: two sons, Dean Loepp and his wife, Lisa, Hutchinson and Les Loepp and his wife, Carolyn, Tulsa, Okla.; a daughter, Joleen Smith and her husband, Albuquerque, N.M.; a brother, John S. Schroeder, Hutchinson; four sisters, Elsie Dirks, South Hutchinson, Frances Schroeder, Buhler, Adina Kliewer, Buhler, and Sue Ann Plenert, Buhler; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Maynard Schroeder; and three sisters, Marie Ediger, Tillie Schroeder and Lydia Schroeder.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary with the Rev. Mark Conard presiding. Visitation will be from 9:30 until service time Thursday morning, with family receiving friends at that time. Burial will be in North Inman Cemetery, Inman.
