Helen G. Smith's Obituary
Helen Geneva Smith, 85, died Nov. 16, 2005, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Oct. 13, 1920, in Pawnee County, the daughter of Amos A. and Clara M. Prudham Fox. A longtime Hutchinson resident, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to South Hutchinson Christian Church.
On Aug. 5, 1939, she married Lawrence N. Smith in Nickerson. He died Nov. 6, 2003.
Survivors include: two sons, Larry Smith, Springfield, Mo., and Steven Smith, Lawrence; a daughter, Geneva Barrington, Altoona, Pa.; six grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by son, Eddie L. "Ed" Smith M.D.; two brothers, Emett and Dayton Fox; three sisters, Alta Mitchell, Florence Ellers and Erma Edwards; and a granddaughter, Brenda Barrington.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
