Henry Nisly, 91, died Feb. 21, 2011, at Mennonite Manor, South Hutchinson.
He was born March 5, 1919, in Hutchinson, to Levi and Mary Bontrager Nisly.
He was a lifetime Hutchinson area resident. He was a retired farmer and stockman and very involved in his church missions. He was a member of Maranatha Mennonite Church.
On Oct. 3, 1940, he married Elizabeth Susie Yoder. She died July 9, 2008.
Survivors include: a son, Paul and wife Frieda Nisly, Hutchinson; daughters, Dorothy and husband Al Miller and Marilyn and husband Dave Hevener, all of Hutchinson; brothers, Raymond and Fred, both of Hutchinson, and John, Ship Shewana, Ind.; sisters, Barbara Yoder, Partridge, and Elizabeth Bender, Kolona, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; two sons, Glenn Wayne and David Nisly; a granddaughter, Vickie; a brother, Rufus; and a sister, Emma Stutzman.
Funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, at Maranatha Mennonite Church, 3315 SW Blanchard, South Hutchinson, with Pastors Paul Nisly and Al Miller officiating. Friends may call from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
