Herbert Henry Fahrenholtz's Obituary
SYLVIA - Herb Fahrenholtz, 88, died Dec. 2, 2012, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.
He was born April 21, 1924, in rural Dunbar, Neb., the son of Heinrich Allen and Katherina Sophia (Soeken) Fahrenholtz.
He graduated from Sylvia High School in 1942. Herb was a farmer and stockman in the Sylvia area for 80 years, moving to South Hutchinson in 2009.
On Sept. 30, 1945, he married Erma Arline Easter at the parsonage in rural Sylvia. She survives.
Other survivors include: three children, Dr. H. Daniel Fahrenholtz and wife Diana of Granby, Colo., Dr. Randall K. Fahrenholtz and wife Janice of Tribune, and Victoria A. Wise and husband Howard Dean of Clearwater; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his parents and two infant brothers, Roy and Walter Fahrenholtz.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Tim Elsner presiding. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be made to Sterling College, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson KS 67501.
