Hilda Elizabeth Eibert, 83, of Hutchinson, died March 28, 2012, at Hester Care Center, Hutchinson. Hilda was born Aug. 29, 1928, in Cordell, Okla., the daughter of Isaac and Marie Duerksen Frey.
She graduated from Newton High School in 1947. Hilda worked for many years at Dillons Bakery and co-owned and operated Econowash Laundromat along with her husband. She attended church at The Venue and CrossPoint Baptist Church. Hilda was an excellent cook and seamstress and was loved by all and will be greatly missed by her family.
Hilda married Wayne W. Eibert on Sept. 4, 1954, in Clayton, N.M. He died Nov. 28, 1992.
Survivors include: three daughters, Barbara Skinner and husband Daniel of San Antonio, Texas, Nancy Mentzer and husband J.R. Parks, and Wayneen Marie Peterson, all of Hutchinson; six grandchildren, Sarah Ruh and husband Brian of Austin, Texas, Mandy Skinner of Washington D.C., Megan Combee and husband Walter of Daytona Beach, Fla., Andrew Peterson, Heath Roberts, and Will Mentzer, all of Hutchinson; two great-granddaughters, Charlotte Ruh and Abigail Ruh of Austin, Texas; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Clark of Liberty, Mo., and Carol Siefkes of Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Elliott Mortuary, with Chaplain Bob Phipps presiding. Burial will be at Fairlawn Burial Park in Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. on Friday, with the family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m., all at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
