ARLINGTON - Hilda Podszus, 90, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.
She was born Dec. 19, 1920, in Union Township, Hoisington, the daughter of Alexander and Catherine Eichman Shultz.
She was a graduate of Hoisington High School, a longtime member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, a homemaker and farm wife on the family farm southwest of Arlington, moving to Hutchinson in 2003.
On April 20, 1941, she married Carl H. Podszus at Russell. He died Oct. 17, 1999.
She is survived by her children, Sandra Cameron of Jackson, Wyo., Dennis of Arlington, and Helen Furgason of Hutchinson; a sister, Olinda Gross of Washington, Kan.; two grandsons, Ryan and his wife Trissa Cameron and Douglas Cameron; three great-granddaughters, Ellie, Meg and Claire Cameron; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, and 11 brothers and sisters.
Graveside service will be held at 10: 30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011, at Arlington Cemetery, with Pastor John Poole officiating.
Memorial gifts my be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson.
