Hulda Wegener's Obituary
Hulda Wegener, 96, died Aug. 7, 2007 at her home.
She was born Nov. 8, 1910, in Rockford, Wash., the daughter of August and Dorothy Schneider Ficken. She was a Hutchinson resident since 1949. She graduated in 1930 from Blue Hill (Neb.) High School and graduated from Lutheran Institute, Hastings, Neb., in 1931. She was a homemaker.
She belonged to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
On Aug. 6, 1933 she married William H. Wegener at Blue Hill, Neb. He died July 29, 1994.
Survivors include: two sons, Dean William and wife Lois, Tuscola, Texas and David Ernest and wife Marianne, Costa Mesa, Calif.; a daughter, Virginia Bade and husband Bill, Metamora, Ill.; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two infant children and a sister, Helen Ficken.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. Thomas B. Mendenhall presiding. Burial will be at 5 p.m. in Lutheran Church Cemetery, Norton.
Memorials may be sent to the Lutheran Hour, Hospice Care of Kansas or Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, all in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 North Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
