Imogene Garard Sechrest, 87, died Aug. 12, 2012, at Hester Care Center, Wesley Towers, Hutchinson.
She was born Aug. 28, 1924, in Butler, Mo., the daughter of Charles and Thelma (DeBow) Garard.
Imogene graduated from Butler High School and then went on to be a Registered Nurse. She was a resident of Kansas City, Mo. until moving to Hutchinson in 2005. Imogene was a member of the Raytown Christian Church, Raytown, Mo.
In 1946, she married Edward Phillips. He died July 1, 1972. In 1978, she married Herbert "Claude" Sechrest. He died May 13, 2008.
Survivors include: a daughter, Pamela Gourley of Kingman, Kan.; two grandsons, Zachary Gourley of Springfield, Mo., Nicholas Gourley of Lawrence, Kan.; and a great-grandson, Benjamyn Babson of Kingman, Kan.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler, Mo.
