Inez Koch, 93, died July 27, 2010 at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born Aug. 25, 1916 to Carl A. and Julia C. Peterson Swanson in Orion, Illinois. On Feb. 17, 1961 she married Willis Koch in Raton, NM. He died November 3, 1982.

Inez worked in the deli at Dillons and retired from the Dillons Warehouse in 1962. She then worked at Calhoun's Warehouse until 1980. She loved to babysit the children in the nursery at Countryside Baptist Church, and was an outstanding competitive bowler until age 88.

Survivors include two sons, James "Jim" Connelly and his wife Cara, Lawrence and Carl "Bill" Connelly and his wife Kathy, Tescott, Ks; brother Edward Swanson, Inman; 3 grandchildren, Barbra Cohen and husband Chris, Jimmy Arnold and Cory Connelly and wife Marilyn; 2 great grandsons, Michael and wife Lacy Cohen, Matthew and wife Tiffany Cohen; 3 great-great grandchildren, Evan, Luke and Emery Cohen.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Patricia "Pat" Arnold and three brothers, George, Elmer and Russell Swanson.
