Inez Mae "Zic" Soule, 88, formerly of Hutchinson, died Nov. 5, 2011, in Overbrook, Kan.

Zic was born Feb. 22, 1923, in Donora, Pa., the daughter of William Earl and Martha Covert London.

She was a 1941 graduate of Punxsutawney, Pa. High School and a 1951 graduate of Waynesburg College, Waynesburg, Pa.

On June 30, 1951, Zic married Reverend William T. "Bill" Soule in Cloe, Pa. Bill, her husband of 56 years, died June 21, 2007.

While living in Winfield, Kan., she worked as a special education paraprofessional, but spent the majority of her life as a homemaker. Zic was a member and Elder of the First Presbyterian Church, member of the Presbyterian Women, docent at the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center, reading tutor at Lincoln Grade School and PEO Chapter BY, all of Hutchinson. She was an avid reader, enjoyed golfing and music theater.

Survivors include: her daughter, Liz Cordts and husband J.A. of Overbrook, Kan.; sons, Tim and wife Debbie of Ottawa, Kan., David and wife Peggy of Arkansas City, Kan., Paul and partner Robert Ferguson of New York City, NY; seven grandsons, four great-grandsons, three great-granddaughters and a sister, Frances McLaren of Aragon, Ga. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and a sister.

Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, at the First Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Sherman, Hutchinson. Private family inurnment will be held at the Church Columbarium. Officiating will be Reverends Michael Herring and Amy Dame. Following the service the family will receive friends in the church parlor.
