Irene I. Collins' Obituary
Irene I. Collins, 86, died March 7, 2006, in her home in Hutchinson.
She was born May 27, 1919, in Pretty Prairie, the daughter of Joseph Fredrick and Frances I. "Bell" Krehbiel Wenzel. A lifetime Hutchinson resident, she graduated from Pretty Prairie High School and was a machinist at Cessna from 1969 until retiring in 1980.
On May 24, 1936, she married Deo M. Frager in Pretty Prairie. He died April 18, 1980. She married Lee Roy Collins in January 1949 in Walla Walla, Wash. He died in February 1982.
Survivors include: three sons, Joseph Leroy Frager, Gulfport, Miss., Donald Dean Collins, Louisville, Ky., and Tom L. Collins, Hutchinson; two daughters, Lola F. Palma and Kathy I. Collins, Hutchinson; a brother, Virgil Wenzel, Hutchinson; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Darrel Frager; two brothers, Ralph and Edwin Wenzel; a sister, Florence Wenzel; and a grandson
Cremation has taken place. There will be no services.
