Irene L. Ebersole's Obituary
Irene L. Ebersole, 86, died May 12, 2007, at Hospice House.
She was born Dec. 2, 1920, in Garden City, the daughter of John and Freida Schwisow Schweer. She graduated from Garden City High School in 1934. A resident of Hutchinson for over 60 years, she was a secretary for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co.
She belonged to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
On May 15, 1947, she married Arthur A. Ebersole in Hutchinson. He died March 29, 1983.
Survivors include: a son, Ron and wife, Stephanie, Hutchinson; a brother, Arnold Schweer, Garden City; a sister, Verneta Jones, Garden City; and two grandchildren, A.J. and Alyssa Ebersole, Hutchinson.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jim Ebersole; a brother, Dallas Schweer; and a sister, Phyliss.
Memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, with Pastor Thomas B. Mendenhall presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Private family graveside service will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Reno County or Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, both in care of the funeral home.
