Irene June Robinson, 93, of Caledonia, MI, died June 26, 2023, at Legacies Assisted Living. She was born June 21, 1930, in Great Bend, to Samuel and Margaret (Christians) Ahrens.

Irene graduated from Ellinwood High School and Hutchinson Community College. Before her children were born, Irene worked as a secretary at Morton Salt. She then stayed home to raise her family. Irene enjoyed quilting and was a member of First United Methodist Church and EHU. A long-time Hutchinson resident, she moved to Michigan to be near her daughter after her husband, Leonard, passed away.

On February 26, 1956, Irene married Leonard F. Robinson, in Hutchinson. He died November 4, 2015.

She is survived by: her children, Nancy Jacobs (Michael) of Alto, MI, David Robinson (Shawna) of Shawnee; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, William Ahrens of Ellinwood; and many extended family members.

Irene was preceded in death by: her parents; sister, Virginia Grey; and brothers, LaVerne, Morris, and Robert Ahrens.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5905 W. 4th Ave., Hutchinson. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with family present to receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
