Iris V. Price's Obituary
INMAN - Iris Verle Price, 84, died Feb. 8, 2006, at Pleasant View Home, Inman.
She was born July 21, 1921, in Chester, Okla., the daughter of Floyd H. and Blanche E. VanSickle Kelley. She graduated from Hutch-inson High School in 1939. A resident of Inman, she was a longtime resident of Great Bend. She operated her own beauty salon in Great Bend.
She was of the Methodist faith and attended Trinity and Faith United Methodist Churches in Hutchinson.
On April 28, 1947, she married Kelly P. Price in Wichita. He died in April 1989.
Survivors include: a sister, Ila Briggs, Windom; three nephews, Mike, Randy and John Price, all of Texas; four nieces, Donna Shell and husband, Jerry, and Beverly Janssen and husband, Royce, all of Inman, Janet Stroberg and husband, Tom, Hutchinson, and Teressa Cochrane, Texas; and several great-nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and stepfather, Dale Cain.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Dan Dalke presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday, all at the mortuary. Burial will be in Andover Lutheran Church Cemetery, Windom.
