Irma M. Karohl, 91, died Jan. 28, 2007, at Dillon Living Center, Hutchinson.
She was born Aug. 30, 1915, in Cherokee, Iowa, the daughter of Walter and Delia Champion Stieneke. A longtime resident of Omaha, Neb., moving to Hutchinson in 2004, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to Rockbrook United Methodist Church, Omaha, and was also a member of Order of the Eastern Star.
On April 12, 1942, she married Edward W. Karohl in Rock Island, Ill. He died Dec. 22, 2005.
Survivors include: a son, Rev. Richard Karohl and wife, Diane, Aurora, Neb.; a daughter, Virginia Hymer and husband, Tom, Hutchinson; a brother, Dale Stieneke, Cherokee, Iowa; a sister, Mary Alice Jacobs, Halstead, Minn.; four grandchildren, David and Wendy Hymer, Dianne and Sid Eells, Luke Karohl, and Wendy and Josh Wickstrom; and five great-grandchildren, Azarah, Allison, McLain, Jake and Mallory.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Harland Stieneke; and a sister, Valley Fern Stieneke.
Cremation has taken place, and no services are planned. Private inurnment will be at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery, Cherokee, Okla.
