Isaiah Daniel Salmans, 27, gathered in God's arms, Sept. 11, 2015, at Via Christi at St. Francis, Wichita. He was born Dec. 30, 1987, in Newton, to Joseph and Julie (Copeland) Salmans.
He was an Eagle Scout, Troop #332. He enjoyed many passions in his lifetime including drama, forensics, and tinkering with electronics. Isaiah was a video game enthusiast at heart and had an undeniable love for cooking. He was a beloved manager of Starbucks in Manhattan, KS. Isaiah brought joy and laughter to everyone he knew.
Survivors include: his parents, Joseph and Julie Salmans, Cheney; sisters, Hannah Salmans, Pretty Prairie, and Rebekah Salmans, Cheney; grandfather, Norman Salmans, Newton; grandmother, Shirley Copeland, Cheney; uncles and aunts, Jack and Wanda Salmans, Moundridge, and Kelby and Sharon Harrison, Newton; and the love of his life, Courtney Ress, Manhattan.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jason Salmans, infant sisters, Tiffany and Faith Salmans, grandfathers, Robert Copeland, and Raymond Pilkenton, grandmother, Joy Salmans, and an aunt, Diana Copeland.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Deacon Jack Salmans presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday with the family to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
