Iva May Gee, 78, died Jan. 21, 2015, at her home. She was born Feb. 5, 1936, to Guy and Lucile (Lamar) Strickland in Haxton, Colo.

She married Wayne L. Gee Nov. 13, 1954, in Raton, New Mexico. He survives. Other survivors include: her sons, Randy Gee and wife Kathie, Rick Gee and wife Ann, all of Hutchinson, Steve Gee and wife Terri of Topeka; daughters, Cheryl Peterman and husband David of Yukon, Okla., Melissa Holzer and husband Cory of Wichita Falls, Texas; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Merry Palmer of Shakopee, Minn.; and a brother, Paul Strickland of Tucson, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Herbert Darl Mayo, Fred Mayo, Lloyd Mayo, Glen Mayo; and a sister, Ruth Baldwin.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, at Bethany Church of the Nazarene, 408 Kent Road, Hutchinson, with Pastor Jay Bessmer presiding. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday, with family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
