Ivalee Horne, 85, died Nov. 25, 2011, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. She was born Sept. 8, 1926, in Protection, Kan., the daughter of Delmer S. and Juanita E. (Feger) Rathbun.

She was a 1944 graduate of Hutchinson High School. Ivalee worked for Central Bank and Trust and Horne Body Shop. She was a member of Crossroads Christian Church and the Good Sam RV Club.

On Jan. 13, 1945, she married Erman Watson Horne. He died Oct. 11, 1989.

Survivors include: three children, Dennis E. Horne of Austin, Texas, Delmar C. Horne, and Sue Mosier, both of Hutchinson; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was adored by her children and grandchildren and they were the joy of her life. She always encouraged, never judged, and was supportive in all their endeavors.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, at Crossroads Christian Church, Hutchinson, with Pastor Lee Keele presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Reno County, the American Lung Association or Crossroads Christian Church, in care of the mortuary.
