ARLINGTON - Jack E. Delventhal, 87, died April 14, 2013, at Kingman Community Hospital, Kingman. He was born May 22, 1925, in Arlington, Kan., to William H. and Clara D. Toms Delventhal.
He was a graduate of Arlington High School and a member of Arlington Presbyterian Church. Jack was a WWII veteran, serving in the US Army Air Force as a Bombardier sergeant on the B-17. He was a farmer and stockman and also served on the Arlington township board for over 25 years.
He married Louise Wilson on Jan. 21, 1972, in McPherson. She died Nov. 11, 2009.
Survivors include: daughters, Phyllis Rice and husband Steve, Beth Delventhal, and Susan Dirks, all of Hutchinson; a stepson, Michael Davy of Salmon, Idaho; a brother, Jim Delventhal of Wichita, Kan.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Louise Delventhal; his first wife, Arlene Rapp Delventhal; and a brother, Delbert Delventhal.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Reverend Melvin Walton officiating. Burial will be in the Partridge Cemetery, Partridge, Kan. Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
