John Byron "Jack" Johnson was born June 13, 1935, to Cleon Clyde and Lucy Catherine (Turner) Johnson, in Hutchinson. Jack died June 3, 2016, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, after sustaining serious injuries in a car accident on May 12, 2016, in Hutchinson.

Dad married mom (Patricia Ann Sanders) on November 19, 1955, in Hutchinson. Dad was preceded in death by: his parents; our mom, Patricia, who died November 25, 2002; siblings, Bob Johnson, Ron Johnson, Judy Cabral; and his beloved dog, Nellie.

Jack was a glazier his whole life and was a member of the Glaziers Local Union No. 558. Dad retired in 2000 to be available to take care of mom during her battle with cancer. He owned Sunflower Glass and Paint and Sunflower Arts and Crafts. After his retirement and mom's death, dad occupied his time by working and managing the Dog Park, helping his neighbors out, hunting, and "tinkering".

Jack is survived by his children, daughter, Sheri (Fred) Seachris of Buhler; son, Rick (Jackie) Johnson of Great Falls, Virginia; grandchildren, Mandy Snyder, Tony (Amanda) Seachris, Ryan (Kelly) Johnson, Anneliese Johnson, Keegan Johnson, Jordon Murray; great grandchildren, Emogen Snyder, Toby Snyder Jr., Micheal Snyder, Holden Snyder, Delani Seachris, Aiden Johnson, Kamden Johnson; numerous nieces; nephews; friends; and neighbors.

Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Travis Heneha officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may sign the book 9-5 Monday and 9-9 Tuesday with family to receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
