Obituary

Jack W. Pennock, 81, of Hutchinson, died November 4, 2018, at Hester Care Center. He was born May 8, 1937, in Zenda, to Earl Robert and Crete Louelle (Braden) Pennock.
J
ack graduated from Langdon High School in 1955 and attended Troy University in Troy, Alabama. He retired after 30 years of service to the United States Army, where he specialized in security and communications. Jack was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Bob Campbell Post #1361 and DAV. He attended First Church of the Nazarene, Hutchinson.

On August 8, 1986, he married Patricia Ann Keller in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They shared 32 years of marriage. Jack is survived by: wife, Patricia of Hutchinson; son, Michael Pennock of Oceanside, California; daughters, LeAnn Mease (Lamont) of Omaha, NE, Terri Maddox (Charles) of Keller, Texas, Charlyn Swafford of Hutchinson; sister, Louise Leady of Millington, Tennessee; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by: his parents; five brothers and sisters; son, Karl Heinz; and a grandson.

Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2018, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastors Josh Moore and Bones Nay officiating. Burial will follow in Lerado Cemetery, with military honors conducted by the Fort Riley Honor Guard. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
