Jack Lawrence Reed's Obituary
Jack Lawrence Reed, 68, died Oct. 24, 2012, at his home in Hutchinson.
He was born May 19, 1944, in Hutchinson, to James Thomas and Chloie Mae Williams Reed.
Jack was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and the NRA. He was a manager at Garvey Elevator.
Jack is survived by son, Jack Edward Reed of Kellyville, Okla. and his children, Jack Edward Reed Jr. of Kellyville, Okla., Jessica Dawnee Reed of Jacksonville, Fla., Tyler Ann Reed of Chorley Lancashire, England; son, Danny Wayne Socha of Nickerson, and his children, Kenneth A. Socha of Hutchinson and Camerson L. Socha of Lyons; a daughter, Debbie Kay Mock of Hutchinson and her children, Jeremy L. Mock, Christopher W. Mock, Alyssa J. Mock, all of Hutchinson; two sisters, Shirley Virginia Riead of Garden City, and Kathleen Mae Daines of Hutchinson; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Jerry Lark Reed and James Cleason Reed.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at Elliott Mortuary, with Pastor Harold E. Nelson officiating. Burial will take place in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, in care of Elliott Mortuary 1219 N Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
