Jack C. Wedge, 74, died Nov. 14, 2012, at his home in Hutchinson. He was born Oct. 7, 1938, in Heavener, Okla., to Evert C. and Nena (Elliott) Wedge.

Jack graduated from Heavener High School and Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor's degree in education. He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church, loved playing golf, was a faithful member of the church choir, and enjoyed farming.

On June 10, 1961, he married Melva Welch in Helena, Okla. She survives. Other survivors include: children, Kirk Wedge and wife Vibeke of Bergen, Norway and their children, Amanda and Markus; Robin Jorgenson and husband Paul of Hutchinson and their children, Chris, Joy Ann and husband Josh, Jessica, Ande and wife Elizabeth, Kaylee; Benton Wedge and wife Jessica of Chicago and their children, Nina, Russell and Evan; Luke Wedge and wife Michelle of University Park, Md., and their children Simon and Greta; sister, Helen Carter; brother, Stan Wedge and wife Jerri; sister-in-law, Doris Wedge. Jack was preceded in death by: his parents and brother, Darrell Wedge.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at First Southern Baptist Church, 1201 E. 23rd, with Pastor Ray E. Kempel officiating. Burial will be 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Good Hope Cemetery, Helena, Okla. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday with family to receive friends from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
