Jacob Smith's Obituary
Jacob "Jake" Smith, 26, died May 5, 2008, at his home, Hutchinson.
He was born July 14, 1982, in Hutchinson, the son of Terry and Lanette Havlik Smith. He graduated in 2001 from Buhler High School. A lifetime Hutchinson resident, he was a pallet builder for ContainerCraft. He belonged to the Church of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
Survivors include: his parents, Hutchinson; sister, Jessica Nobbs and husband Brandon, Hutchinson; grandmothers, Zelda Havlik, Halstead, and Ruby Smith, Sterling; and nephews, Thomas and Jason Nobbs, Hutchinson. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Stanley Havlik and Virgil Smith.
Parish rosary will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Church of the Holy Cross, Hutchinson. Parish Mass will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the church, with Father Joseph Eckberg presiding. Graveside service will be at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery, Colwich. Friends may sign the book from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
