Jacqueline 'Jackie' Ann Thompson, 72, passed away January 24, 2026, at her home in Hutchinson, KS. She was born January 14, 1954, in Hutchinson, KS, to John Paul and Jeraldine Joyce (Robinson) Pierson.

Jackie graduated from Hutchinson High School. Following graduation, Jackie began beauty school at Hutchinson Community College. She worked for Consolidated Manufacturing in Hutchinson as a parts manager before the business was shut down, and in April of 2009 she started working as an account representative for Portfolio Recovery Associates (PRA) and retired after 10 years of service, in August of 2019.

Gardening was Jackie's favorite hobby. She enjoyed the peace she felt while tending to her flowers and plants. She also enjoyed ceramics, playing bingo, and going to casinos. Jackie cherished being a member of the black-powder rifle club so much! She and her husband, Keith, looked forward to rendezvous events that offered camaraderie, competition, and a deep connection with historical traditions that thrilled them.

In 1979, Jackie met Keith Edward Thompson and married in 1981. They shared over 44 years of marriage, prior to his death on November 8, 2025.

Jackie is survived by: her children, Janelle Pruter and Jason (Shannon) Self, both of Hutchinson; stepsons, Patrick (Ashley) Thompson of Hutchinson and Brian Thompson (Sylvia) of Germany; grandchildren, Kiersten (Austin) Stewart, Allison (Andrew Starks) Cook, Ryan Cook, Shelby Self, Nicholas (Patience) Self, Allyssa (Dylan) Becker, Trevor Stringfellow, Paige (Orion) Stewart, Rylie (Preston) Miller, and Emeri Thompson; step-grandchildren, Fabian and Dominick Thompson; brothers, John Pierson and Jesse Pierson; and great-grandchildren, Olivia, Luna, Onyx, Sequoia, Carter, and Poppy.

She was preceded in death by; her parents; husband, Keith; and brother, James Pierson.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Elliott Chapel. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.
