Jake W. Sherrill, 25, died Oct. 22, 2006 at his home in Fort Collins, Colo.
He was born April 26, 1981 in Craig, Colo., the son of Rodney and Sharon Smith Sherrill. He was a 1999 graduate of Fort Collins High School, received his associate's degree in science from Front Range Community College in applied electronics and had been pursuing his bachelor's degree in information technology from the University of Phoenix. A resident of Fort Collins, he was a control technician for Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC, Fort Collins.
He attended Timberline Church, Fort Collins.
Survivors include: his parents, Craig, Colo.; a stepbrother, Travis Matthew, Grass Valley, Calif.; his grandmother, Elaine Smith, Baldwin City; several uncles and aunts in central Kansas, including Steve and Julie Drach, Hutchinson.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, with Pastor Loren Mai presiding. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.
