Obituary

NICKERSON - Jama D Carlton, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Feb. 4, 2013, at Pleasant View Home, Inman.

She was born on June 14, 1965, in Hays, Kan., the daughter of James Archie and JoD (Steele) Hartzell.

She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1983. She later graduated from Colby Community College as an animal hospital technician. A member of The Father's House, she was a homemaker.

On June 15, 1985, she married George Carlton in Great Bend. He survives.

She is also survived by: her parents, James and JoD Hartzell of Arlington; son, Christopher Carlton of Denver, Colo.; daughters, Ashley Bunch (Kendall) of Tulsa, Okla., Abbie Padgett (Christopher) of Alden, Jessica Carlton (fiance Jeffrey Ruckle) of McPherson, and Carmen Carlton of Nickerson. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jace Hartzell; grandparents, Joe and Elizabeth Steele, and Archie and Pauline Hartzell.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at The Father's House, 1505 E. 20th Ave., Hutchinson, with Pastor Quintin Moore officiating. Private family burial will be in Arlington Cemetery. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
