James W. Brown's Obituary
James W. Brown, 81, died Feb. 23, 2007 at Hospice House.
He was born September 13, 1925, in Manhattan, the son of Floyd K. and Maye Williams Brown. He graduated from Hutchinson High School and attended Kansas State and Ottawa Universities.
He served in the Merchant Marines.
On Jan. 1, 1945 he married Jeanne Wolford. They were married for 25 years before divorcing. On April 8, 1992 he married Delores Kelly. She survives.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Kathleen and Ronald Rhoads, Wellsville and Vanessa and Archie Hoffman, Hutchinson; a daughter-in-law Annette Brown, Newton; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was much loved and will be missed.
He was preceded in death by a son Floyd William Brown.
A private graveside service was held.
