James Allen Delaney, 76, died June 30, 2013, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born Sept. 26, 1936, to Harry H. and Ruth LaVern Hollingsworth Delaney, in Hutchinson.

He graduated from Nickerson High School in 1956, and was in the United States Navy. James retired as a Journeyman Pressman for the Hutchinson News and for Texas University in Austin, Texas.

Survivors include: sons, Pat Delaney and wife Michelle of Hutchinson, Kan., Sean Delaney and wife Becky of Hutchinson, Kan., Damon Delaney and wife Susan of Plano, Texas, Jeff Delaney and wife Lisa of Kansas City, Kan.; brother, Mike Delaney and wife Debby of Hutchinson, Kan.; sister, Mardell Evans and husband Milton of Hutchinson, Kan.; 14 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Don Delaney and Harry Delaney Jr.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2013, at Grace Bible Church, 1221 E. 33rd Ave., Hutchinson, Kan., with Pastor Bart Horton presiding.
