James Edward 'Jim' Stahl Jr., 63, of Hutchinson, died July 7, 2018, at Diversicare of Hutchinson. He was born November 1, 1954, in Edmond, Oklahoma, the son of James Edward Sr. and Carol Joan (Pike) Miller.

He was a 1974 graduate of Topeka High School. Jim was the maintenance man for Eastside Cemetery of Hutchinson for 30 years, retiring in 2014.

On April 19, 1976, he married Esther Pearl Poyner in Meade, Kansas. She survives.

Also surviving are: daughters, Peggy Moss, Joy Franz, and Nikki Stahl, all of Hutchinson; sisters, Jan Kirk of Wichita and Karen Ryan of Stafford; brothers, Donald Stahl of Newton and Steve Stahl of Hutchinson; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Jim was preceded in death by: his parents; stepfather, James Miller; and grandparents, Vern and Grace Pike.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at Elliott Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Kim Biery presiding. Private inurnment will be in Eastside Cemetery. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, with family present from 6 to 7 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson.
