J.C. Ray, 81, died Sept. 10, 2012, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born Aug. 25, 1931, in San Saba, Texas, to Norman and Cecil Boulet Ray. J.C. served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Sicily CVE 118.

J.C. is survived by: wife, Darlene Ray of Hutchinson; children, Janelle Anderson and husband Tom, Randy Ray and wife April, Cindy Herzog, Bruce Ray and wife Vicki, Sandra Ray-Ruble and husband Charles, James Ray and wife Cindy; eight grandchildren, Thomas Herzog, Randy A. Ray, Phillips Herzog, Stephanie Herzog, Randy D. Ray Jr., Chassity Lindeman, Kalli Ray, and Charles Ruble III; and two great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by a son, James Ray.

Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at CrossPoint Church, Westbrook Campus, with Pastor Andy Addis officiating.
